Definition of an Amateur dancer:
A dancer that is not a Professional. Meaning a dancer that does not make most of his/her money from teaching dance. If you have placed in the top three of an advanced contest at a major event such as CSC, ILHC or Boston Tea Party, then you may not compete as an Amateur.
Final decisions on all matters pertaining to these rules rest solely on the promoter (the Canadian Swing Championships).
